English Construction was awarded the site work, which consisted of clearing and grubbing, erosion control, cut and fill required for the structures and buildings (including the coal yard); undercut and fill for the access road; grading for roadways and parking areas; site utilities, including fire protection, sanitary/storm sewers, holding ponds for cooling water and coal yard runoff. English also performed shoring and excavation for the raw water intake pump station, installation of the intake and discharge piping, the coal stacker, and the coal unloading facility. English was contracted to install the concrete foundations for the chip storage silo, coal unloading facility, stacker and conveyor, as well as the foundations or the steam and wood chip pipelines.
