Middle River WWTP

Augusta County, Va.

The project is the conversion of the existing Middle River Wastewater Treatment Facility to an Enhanced Nitrogen Removal (ENR) process.  The project primarily consists of construction of a new Grit Removal Facility, converting the existing aeration basins to Biological Nitrogen Removal (BNR) Basins, construction of a new Secondary Clarifier, construction of a new Polishing Filter Complex, construction of a new Carbon Source chemical feed facility and conversion of an existing primary clarifier into an Alum feed facility. 

The project also contains associated pumps, interior process piping, blowers, aeration piping, pump stations, manholes, valve vaults, meter vaults, yard process piping and sitework
