The concrete and site work which English
performed for this project required 6,000 yards of concrete (poured
in four equal, pie-shaped sections of 1,500 yards each). A jointless
steel mesh replaced the conventional plywood bulkheads in the smoke
stack's concrete foundations—resulting in large savings of
both time and money. |
