Rt. 29, Amherst County Bypass

Amherst County, Va.

This project was the final section of the Madison Heights Bypass for Rte 29 in Amherst Co., VA.  The project was worth $35.4 million and included six miles of road, three bridges and six box culverts, 3.2 million cubic-yards of excavation and 180,000-square-yards of reinforced concrete pavement. 

This project was completed just two months after the last concrete paving was put down which resulted in an early completion bonus for the Project Team.
