St. Bride's Correctional Facility WWTP Upgrade

Chesapeake, Va.

The project is an upgrade of an existing plant, increasing treatment capacity from 250,000 to 544,000 gallons-per-day.  Work includes demolition of existing structures, construction of a filter building, four sequence batch reactors with associated pumps, blowers, piping, mechanical, electrical and control systems.  The conversion of two SBR structures to an equalization basin and digester, construction of UV disinfection, site grading and site process piping.  Work must be phased to maintain existing capacity to accommodate the occupied facility.
