Upgrade and Expansion of WWTP and Relocation of DPW – Strasburg, VA – COMPLETED!

Upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant include: influent pump station,blower building, grit removal facilities, biological reactors including secondary clarifiers, filters in a cast-in-place concrete structure, chemical feed facilities, sludge dewatering facilities, sludge stabilization, residual solids storage and control building modifications. Various site improvements include paving, drainage, site and process piping. The average daily flow is 2.0 MGD, with a 10.0 MGD peak.

Relocation of the Department of Public Works includes a new facility of approximately 15,000 SF to replace an aging existing facility of less than 5,000 SF. The new facility will include adequate space for administration, equipment storage, maintenance and repairs.
