The Route 128 Candler’s Mtn. Road project will rehabilitate the existing west bound structure over Norfolk Southern Railway. As a part of this rehabilitation, the substructure will be repaired where necessary and some of the pier caps and columns will be encased in new concrete. All backwall and seat areas will be replaced at the abutments to include all new bearing assemblies. The entire deck will be replaced using MMFX steel and lightweight aggregate. Some light grading and drainage improvements are also a part of this project at both approaches.
